General information

• We strongly recommend that you register online for housing in the city where you plan to study.
• HBO/WO students (students coming from HAVO, VWO, CXC schools, and other High schools on the island) are required to register via studielink (go to register via studielink)
• All students studying in Holland with study financing from the Government of St. Maarten fall under the guidance of the St. Maarten Student Support Services (S4). The S4 is responsible for housing, insurance, book fees, assistance with educational institutions, supervision (especially of 1^st and 2^nd year students) etc. 
• Information on the Dutch Study Financing (administered by IBG) for students of the Netherlands Antilles & Aruba can be found at  http://www.ib-groep.nl/Images/8413-KS-03_tcm7-8670.pdf
• If you are pursuing MBO studies, you will have to:

-          Apply to the school of your choice directly by contacting the school for an application form and resubmitting the form with all necessary information to the school. Please ensure that you stay on top of things. 

-          Apply for the Dutch Study Financing directly with IBG. The form must be downloaded (http://www.ib-groep.nl/Images/8101B-SF-030_tcm7-2982.pdf  ) , filled in and submitted to the Department of Education, Study Financing.

-          Take an Intake Test at your chosen school upon arrival in Holland (you are advised to work on your portfolio)

• All Holland bound students should request a Police Record at Police Affairs during the month of March (this would ensure that the document is not older than six months upon arrival in Holland.)

Students applying to pursue their studies in Holland must apply for the Dutch Study Financing (IBG) as well as fill in the St. Maarten Study Financing Application form on this site. It is important to note that upon completion of your studies, you will have to repay monies to IBG and the Island Government of St. Maarten.
